Smiling Layla

Someone has been an awfully happy girl lately! Mommy and daddy have been real happy because someone is finally sleeping until 6 a.m. and becoming the sweetest most adorable alarm clock to wake up to! Here is Layla showing off her beautiful smile and new motor skills!

Layla deep in thought...
Introduced to her new chair.
My sweet baby girl!
And some tummy time to lighten the mood...
Already propped up on both hands with head up at 6 six weeks!
And then she decided she had enough and rolled over.

Pink Eye

On Monday, I received a call from Carter's school saying he had some green junk coming from his eyes and that they were red which was obviously pink eye or formally know as conjunctivitis. I was very glad to know that my child was the reason a flyer got sent home to the other parents in the class warning them..haha. Poor little guy!

Batman's right eye was pretty puffy.

Waiting on the Dr. which Al and I were dreading.
Couch time with daddy. Al is very relaxed after the eye drop fight.
Getting ready to go night night!

Layla meets the Skardons!

Yesterday, we drove up the countryside to visit Nana Bev, John, and the rest of the gang in Walhalla, SC. I have it marked in Layla's baby book as her first vacation or road trip overnight away from home. It was so good getting to see everyone and the munchkins had a blast.

Nana, John, and Layla.

Maybe I'll give Nana a smile!
Nana and John set Carter up a little pool to play in. As you can see, he was very occupied.
Tickles from Nana!

John took us to see his racing shop and we enjoyed getting to look at his awesome car!

Visit with GG

My grandma Betty (my dad's mom)and George came down to visit us for a couple of days from Ohio. This was her first time meeting Carter and Layla. Of course you know Carter has "never" met a stranger and enjoyed getting to show someone else his books and trains.

Uh oh..someone who might be able to read to me!

Dinner Time!

Not to much going on here tonight. I started work back today so I was upset to leave Layla for the first time. Here are a few pictures of my munchkins eating dinner.

Yummy..chicken nuggets, rice, and strawberries.
Wild hair joining her brother for dinner. Al definitely bathed her last night and she ended up with that crazy hair!

Layla wanting her dinner too!
Playing on her jungle mat. She still doesn't know what to think of it.

Happy Father's Day

This year was a great father's day for us. We celebrated our morning with homemade cinnamon toast and daddy opening up his presents. We then spent the afternoon with paw-paw at his pool and had a cookout. It was definitely a great father's day this year. My munchkins are so lucky to have such a wonderful daddy! I also wanted to wish all the other fathers a Happy Father's Day!

The card the kids and I made for Al. Poor little Layla's hand print..I tried.
Al's presents for being a wonderful daddy! The one in the red envelope is what Carter made for Al at school.
Opening his gift.....drum roll............
Al is always complaining how he never has any togo coffee mugs so I had one made so that when he drinks his coffee every morning he can see his two favorite little people!
What Carter made Al at school. So precious! These are always the best gifts.
The other part of the card.
Happy father's day paw-paw!
Still trying to get that tan!

Paw-paw, Carter, and Uncle Chase.
