Chillaxin

After a long weekend in Ohio, this mama is wore out. No gourmet meal tonight, for this naughty pair, McDonalds was just right.

Her all time favorite, a Cheeseburger Happy Meal!
This little guy takes after his daddy, the Chicken Nugget Happy Meal.
I have to say that I am pretty impressed that Carter and Layla always eat their apples first our of their happy meals. I sure hope it stays that way.
A little outside playtime after dinner.

Ohio!

June has started off to be a very busy month for us here in Georgia. Last weekend we went to Tennessee, and this weekend, I went to Ohio. My grandma has become terminally ill and I went to visit her while she is still able to remember who I am. Here are some pictures of my trip and some of Al holding down the fort while I was away.

A beautiful church in downtown Cincinatti.

Chase and Nick waiting to go in and see Grandma. She wanted to make sure she was nice and ready to see us. The nurses call her a big diva.

My cousins Sarah and Nicholas. I haven't seen them in over 10 years.

Meeting my Uncle Gary for the first time in Springboro Cemitary.

Meeting my paw-paw Enix for the first time as well. He died a few years before I was born. I was his first granddaughter.

This dragon is over 25 years old. When Nick was a toddler, my parents drove to Ohio and he pitched a fit to stop and have his picture made with it and well he pitched a fit at 27 years old to stop and see it again.

Nick and Chase by the dragon's tail.
Meanwhile, back in the "L-ville"...everything seemed to be going swell.

Somebody talked daddy into using his iPad.

While someone else was upset that she wasn't getting to play on the iPad.

Tennessee!

Friday night, Al, the kids, and I drove up to Tennessee to see Papa Craig and his family. It was our first experience in a hotel EVER with the kids and well the first night did not go over too well. The kids fell asleep on the way up and were wired once we arrived to the hotel and wanted to play and explore. Unfortunately for them, Al and I were exhausted (Benedryl was our BFF on Saturday).

The pretty Mountains!
Getting ready to go see Papa Craig and family!
Cousin Mike and Layla. Those two were quite the hit with the Masons and the Lowrys.

Of course these two manage to find a playground and looks like mama forgot to pack Carter's belt.

Meeting his Great Grandpa Hardin for the first time.

Family photo!

At Great Grandma Hardins.

Memorial Day 2012

I was so ready for the extra long weekend we got for Memorial Day this year! A weekend full of relaxation, the pool, and MIMIs! Kinda sad that is was my first Memorial Day in 6 years that I was not in the Air Force but still a great weekend!

Carter's 4th Memorial Day! "Mama today is a day for the soldiers and they carry around the flag!"

Layla's 2nd Memorial Day. I don't think she understands why everyone keeps telling her how pretty she looks in her flags!

Mimi and uncle Chase!

After a long car ride, having dinner at Ihop. Breakfast for dinner..Al and Carter's favorite!

Settling for the "Happy Face" pancake! Carter told me that I needed to add chocolate chips to our "Make a face" pancakes at home. I will have to remember to take note of that.

One hungry girl ready for her dinner. That plate was nonexistent after 5 minutes!

Goodbye Rain..Hello Sunshine

Not a whole lot going on around here. The weather has been bad these last few days so the kids have had to play inside but today the sun is out and so are Carter, Layla, and Gracie!

Carter loves blowing bubble and Layla..she loves to eat them which isn't completely out of character for her.
Layla is becoming such a big girl! Where does all the time go?
Trying to catch some bubbles!
Apparently they were not the only ones...
Trying to catch some bubbles..to eat of course.
It appears that Layla was not the only one with a stomach full of bubbles. Hard to believe this furry pup is 9 months old!

"Make a face" Pancakes

A friend of mine found a really cute idea on Pinterest so my kiddos and I decided to try it out this morning for breakfast! It's called "make a face" pancakes.

The supplies you'll need: fresh fruit of your choice (we chose strawberry and bananas), cooked pancakes, and whip cream!
Miss Layla's pancake! I helped her out a little bit with hers.
Carter had a blast making his pancake!
Carter's masterpiece!
Two full kiddos and I on our way to church!
