2 more weeks!!!!!

Two more weeks until little Gracie gets to come home! We go and visit her every Saturday and this past Saturday her eyes were open and she is starting to eat from a bowl. We couldn't be more excited about our "new edition". We are definitely in the works of getting the house puppy proofed!

Four weeks old!

Chucky Cheese!

Today we loaded up our gang + 1 and went to Chucky Cheeses. Carter brought his friend Will from school along with us today. It was so much fun watching the kids play and even us adults were getting a little competitive on some ticket winning.

These two had a great time playing all the games..even if they didn't fully understand how to play.

Little Miss Thing enjoyed all the games and rides as well..especially all the pizza.

Ugh oh daddy..better watch out before you know it she will be cranking a real one up and I doubt it will be Stuart Little in the passenger's seat.

Will riding with Barney. Al and I were pretty brave to take one two wild three year olds.

Carter really didn't like the rides to move..he enjoyed just pretending he was riding (which was fine for us and definitely more cost effective).

I actually climbed up in the plastic gym (amazing I could still fit)..which way should I go?

Will letting us know he was right above us.

Me and my very sweet tired baby girl.

Ah yes and this is when the competitive ticket winning came into play.

Layla again scared to ride the horse..so I decided to show her it wasn't so had.

Once the pizza arrived, this is pretty much where Miss Layla stayed. Three slices later, she was cashed out and ready for her nap. We got to Chucky Cheese around 10 this morning (to avoid the birthday crowds) and left around noon. These little ones slept from 12:30-3:30. They were wore out! We will definitely have to go back soon!

3 and 15 Months!

Carter and Layla went for their check ups yesterday and they both seem to be growing perfectly and right on track. Carter had a blast identifying the pictures during the vision test and we learned that he also has 20/20 vision (unlike his poor blind mama). We also know that his tubes are in good working order due to a physical examination and also a hearing test; so that pretty much confirms his "selective hearing". At three years Carter's stats are as follows:

Height: 38 inches 55%
Weight: 32 lbs 30%

We also thought that we were out of the water as far as shots were concerned..we were wrong but at least he only needed one unlike poor Layla.

Miss Layla is turning into quite the little talker. She can say a few words now that include: Mama, dada, sheep, cow, Carter, pretty, yes, no, and phrases like "what's this". Pretty much a full time walker now, Layla is officially into chasing her big brother around. Not to mention she loves to dance and eat! You take Layla to a restaurant and she will eat a full course meal. She loves getting her toes painted and she loves to look "pwetty". At 15 months Layla is:

Heights: 32 inches 80%
Weight: 20 lbs 10 oz 65%
HC: 48 1/4 cm >95%

Happy 15 month old!

Someone is finally using the potty on a more regular basis! Thank goodness!

They grow way too fast!

Gracie!

We are going to be having a new member joining our family about or around the 24th of September! Gracie is our new puppy that was born August 6th and with the go ahead of Layla's Pulmonologist decided to go ahead and get her. Again sorry for the picture quality.

Gracie Hardin, two weeks old today. 100% German Shepherd.

Gracie and her siblings. She came from a litter of 12..including one being an all white shepherd.

Gracie..the chubby one.

The all white German Shepherd! Looks like a little polar bear!

Daddy and Gracie!

Gracie's real Mama, Marley!

And her real daddy, Tyson. Tyson is four generations of AKC registered champs!

Can't wait to bring her home and for everyone to meet her!

Mexican (not so much) Fun!

Friday we decided to load up our gang and take them out to eat some Mexican Food. It's usually pretty quick and Carter LOVES cheese dip and I know it sounds terrible but you don't even have to order him a actual mean..just a large cheese dip.

Sorry the pictures are a little blurry, I took them with my phones. Carter patiently waiting on his cheese dip.

And of course JUICE...how could we possibly forget that.

Someone who is also quite the cheese dip eater wasn't very interested in cheese dip or my usual burrito. I later came to find out Miss Layla was running a little temperature.

It was a good thing we were the only ones in there because Layla was not in a good mood and was not afraid to let everyone know it.

Squeaky Shoes

We have a full time walker on our hands now..I bought Layla a pair of the famous squeaky shoes I kept hearing so much about and the truth be told, they are pretty cute. I love how I can hear her coming down the hall.

Family Visit in Clemson!

Saturday, we went to Clemson and hung out with Al's family and the kids had such a good time catching up with their cousins, Aunt, Uncle, grandparents, and great Linkgrandparents. We had a real lively crew! Carter and Sophie had so much fun causing mischief while Layla and Banks remained very content at the food table. Aunt Kathryn also took some awesome pictures!

Layla meeting her new cousin, Victoria.

Uncle Al with his new niece!

Victoria and I..yeah I became a baby hog.

Carter meeting his new cousin.

Carter guarded this just about the whole time..wishing Miss Molly could have joined us.

These two were definitely up to no good..haha.

Meanwhile, back at the food table..these two had fun playing with Mr. John!

Goodbyes are never fun. Carter had so much fun playing with Sophie.
