Crazy Week

This week has been an absolute mess and I am so glad today is Friday. After hearing the news of Carter, we can only pray and hope for the best. I want to thank everyone so much for your love and support. However, I still managed to get some shots of the kids this week. They are kinda sporadic--no particular order of events.

Getting ready for bath time--I love this part of the night because it means bedtime is right around the corner.
Both kids--fed, bathed, and ready for books and bed time=mission accomplished.
Carter loves recruiting people into his bed--haha. I think he likes to show everyone he is a big boy now. I am not concerned at this point.

Somebody obviously isn't very happy--this was taken this morning before daycare.
Carter and his dinner companion. I did not feel like cooking so the crew settled with Burger King.
"Ummmm--yeah--so where is my food?" One burger bottle a coming up!
We do this new thing with Carter and Al or I will make a statement and say "right Carter" and he always says the opposite parent and he gets the biggest kick out of it to.
Still amused that he said "right daddy" over mama. Layla nor I was laughing.
"I still haven't seen my bottle yet!"

27 and 1/4

At 27 months Carter has become quite the little talker. He is a little mocking bird. You really have to watch what you say to this little guy because he will repeat it and sure cannot keep a secret. He sings his ABC's very clearly and his favorite song is Twinkle twinkle little Star. He doesn't understand the definition of "walk" but then again, what two year old does. He is all boy..he loves Thomas the Train, getting dirty, Nick Jr. TV, dinosaurs, and too many sippy cups full of juice. It's hard to believe how fast he has grown. I miss him being as little as Layla, but I also enjoy every stage he has gone through.
Carter at three months old.
He looks so different now. It is hard to believe it is the same little boy sometimes! They grow so fast!
Carter and I when he was three months. I am so blessed to have such two beautiful, healthy children. I love them so much and couldn't be prouder to be their mom!
My little man all grown up. He didn't want a crown or cake..instead, he settled for some cheese, crackers, and applesauce. I guess he had the "been there, done that" attitude..haha.
He had his own little feast and celebrating going on. As long as he has some juice (which is very diluted by the way), he is very happy!

Happy 3 Months!

Today was Layla's 1/4 birthday and we celebrated with a little crown and a mini lemon cake. At three months, Layla is able to lift her head 90 degree when on her stomach, roll over one way, smile and giggle (she is a very vocal baby), and hold her own bottle. Her eyes are turning green and she favors her mama as a baby a lot (pictures to come of me as a baby).

Her little crown!
Happy girl!
She was really curious as to what was going on.
Ummm..wheres the food? Cake..formula..etc.
Ah much better. A little lemon cake!
Just think, at 12 months it will be a million sizes bigger then this.
Wondering what to do...."Can I really eat it?..I won't tell daddy if you don't."
She couldn't actually eat the cake, but she settled for the nice lemon icing.
Holding her bottle.
Lifting her head 90 degrees. She might not be happy but, it looks like tummy time is paying off.

Friday Night Fun

Tonight we ate a pizza, watched some TV, photographed the munchkins, and called it a night. Not too much to say other then this is one tired mama and I am glad tomorrow is Saturday!
Happy girl getting ready for bed!
Double chins..just like her two other baby cousins..haha.
Yes Nana, as you can see..her dress has her already for Clemson football season.
Al and I thought this one was funny. I think she had enough of the pictures.

Daddy getting her in her PJs and ready for bed.

**Again, Mr. Carter was out with his Mimi so he was too tired for pictures when he came home.

Little Artist

Here are some pictures of Carter's artwork at school. Of course, I think he is the next Leonardo De Vinci..but that would be my motherly instincts talking.
Spring time..when they were studying the seasons.
Little fish tank.
Ocean week. I can't wait for Carter to see the real ocean!
Studying the flowers!
I thought this little guy was sooooo cute that I added him to the blog. Carter's hands made a little crab.

Bedtime!

Bedtime at our house is always the most relaxing part of the night. We get the munchkins bathed, dressed, read them books, and finally put them down for bed. Tonight I happened to get a few photos of them being sweet (oh wait..their always sweet..most of the time..cough..Carter).

Before bath and her bedtime bottle.
Pretty girl!
I think her eyes are turning green like mommies!
"Ummm..dad..don't think your getting ready to dump that cup on my head again!"
Laying with Carter. Such a good big brother!
Loving on his sister!
Priceless!

Special Juice

This time of the year always seems to be the toughest on Carter. I don't know if it is allergies, the heat, daycare, who knows? However, it seems that he is staying congested. He gets over a sinus infection and an antibiotic just to develop a cough. Unfortunately when Carter was going through his ear problems, he took several medicines that have terrified him to ever trust any kind of medication again. So Al and I came up with "special juice". Now this "special juice" isn't like any other..it contains the right potion to make Carter feel better. AKA: We just squirt the cough syrup or antibiotic in his juice or milk and shake it up (works every time). And yes, for you skeptics..it works! This cough syrup makes Carter a little loopy and tired but still does not keep him out of mischief.
Playing with Layla's sheep when he knows he is not suppose to. I couldn't help but laugh.
One word: TROUBLE
He baffles me....

Layla just witnesses all the mischief take place. Carter has to realize that she will one day be able to say more then just baby babble.
Eating dinner and downing that special juice!
