Frozen Party!

Saturday, we had a small party for Layla! Poor thing has never had a party all to herself. We invited some of the girls in her class over and family for a "Frozen Party."

All the little girls were asked to come dressed as their favorite princess. Layla decided to be Cinderella at her Frozen themed party..LOL!
Some icy treats!
Cinderella and her cousin, Elsa.

Layla decided she only wanted Elsa's castle. Poor Anna!
We couldn't forget Olaf noses and buttons.
Or chocolate cake in addition to the other treats.
We had face painting!

Poor Carter looks miserable.
Sweet cousin kisses.

Pin the nose on the Olaf.
Pinata fun! Thanks to Carter, they were able to grab some candy.

My sweet boy survived a princess party!

5!!!!!

It's hard to believe my sweet girl is five and starting kindergarten in the fall.

Birthday girl ready for school!
I made Olaf cupcakes for her class party. She was so proud and couldn't wait to share them with her friends.
We saved one for after dinner and presents.
Class party at school!

Singing "Happy Birthday!"
Making a wish!
Happy Birthday sweet girl! We love you! I still can't fathom I have another five year old.

Mother's Day 2015!

Happy Mother's Day! I received lots of love from my sweet little family. We enjoyed a little Mexican food for dinner and relaxed at home from our trip to Tennessee.

On our way to dinner. These two are such a blessing, and I am so proud to be their mom.
Some lovin' from my sweet girl!

7!!!!!!!

Carter turned seven on Saturday, and his latest topic of interest is the RMS Titanic. He bought a book at his school's book fair called "I survived," and it featured a section on the Titanic. He has been hooked ever since! When we were in Pigeon Forge on Spring Break last year, we noticed there was a Titanic Museum. So we loaded up on Friday and took Carter to Tennessee for a special birthday surprise.

ROAD TRIP up to Tennessee!!! The Griswolds don't have anything on us! Holiday Road!!!
We visited with Grandma and Papa Craig while in Tennessee. Papa Craig also joined in on Carter's birthday surprise.
Surprise!! He was so excited! Unfortunately, they would not allow phone or camera use inside, so we didn't get any pictures of the inside.
However, they did allow a picture of us on the grand stair case. I was clearly underdressed for first class-ha!

Al, the birthday boy, and Layla before boarding the ship.
We were each assigned a character upon boarding the ship. These were real passengers, and at the end of the tour, we would find out their fate.
Carter received a special recognition for being the only birthday boy on the ship.
My kids love staying in a hotel, but to open birthday presents in one is the ultimate.
Cake at Grandma's house.

Hard to believe this little guy is seven!!

School Party!

I brought some birthday donuts to Carter's class Friday! Mimi joined in on the celebration.
I decided to change it up this year from traditional cupcakes to seven shaped donuts. I am sure his teacher wouldn't have been satisfied with either given the amount of sugar in each.

MLK Center-Atlanta

My Cub Scout troop took a visit to the Martin Luther King Jr. historic museum and district this weekend! It was a lot of fun and very educational. We also got to play on some vintage fire trucks and playground.

Carter and Kingston in front of the memorial.
The hand painted wall outside of the museum. The wall extended much farther than my camera could capture.

Reenactment of the Selma march.

The carriage that carried MLK's coffin.

The sanctuary in Ebenezer.

MLK's birth home.
Vintage Firetrucks.

Girls can be firefighters too!
