Last night beachin' it

Tonight was our last night at our new favorite beach spot! Here are some goodbye beach pictures.

Al won't admit it but he also enjoys the guilty ice cream pleasure while on vacay. Who doesn't?

Fort Clinch

Instead of our usual beach routine, we went to explore Fort Clinch which was occupied in 1864 by the Union. The kids had a blast exploring the old fort.

Beach playground

Our condo we are staying at has a playground on site which is perfect for Carter and Layla! A great way to wear them out after supper and a day at the beach!

Hungry Turltes

The condo we are staying at has several ponds full of all kinds of critters. Don't worry, no alligators in these ponds or so we are told. However, there are a slew of hungry turtles!

Beachin' It!

Loaded up the kiddos and went to Amelia Island for the week! Beautiful weather for a much needed vacay!

Lewis's birthday splash!

Carter's best bud Lewis also joined the 5 club this past Saturday at the local aquatic center. Carter and Layla had so much fun sliding on the water slides and relaxing down the lazy stream! Of course, pizza, cake, and ice cream followed.

Happy Birthday Lewis!! Lewis is also going to be a big brother in November! His mama is expecting twins! Can't wait to welcome them to the crew.
