Carter's Halloween Party

Today was Carter's class party at school and it was great getting to spend it with him. There were lots of games, scary stories, food, lots of juice, and Carter's favorite..cupcakes!

The little crew eating their cookies and applesauce and of course drinking their juice.

Carter ready to play some games!

This game, they had to jump on these color pads and throw a bean bag in the pumpkin!

Carter ready to throw that bean bag and get a prize!

Making little pumpkin magnets!

Our little pumpkin!

The kids also got to decorate a pumpkin and take it home!

Yummy cupcakes!

Decorating his pumpkin!

While the others were dancing to the music, my little guy decided to sit down and settle for a scary story right in the middle of the dance floor..haha! What a great way to end my Thursday!

Laughing Layla

Someone who is extra super cute is starting to giggle a lot more now! Could it be Layla Nicole?

Exersaucer fun!

One of Carter's favorite toys as a baby has been brought back from 2008 into the soon to be ending 2010 for miss Layla. As can you observe from the video, Carter decides that this is one of his long lost favorite toys!

Church Fall Festival

This Sunday after church, our church hosted their annual fall festival. It was a lot of fun and the munchkins and I had a great time. Wendy also decided to join us! There were awesome festivities and a great way to end a beautiful weekend.

Carter enjoying the famous moonwalk.

He decided that if he was already down he wouldn't fall from jumping.

Smiling for mama.

It was such a nice day out!

Somebody obviously had way too much fun!

Sweet baby!

We settled for some snow cones after walking around the festival a few times. For October it sure was a warm day. What a great weekend!

Brittany's bridal shower

My cousin Brittany is getting married this December and this weekend I threw her a bridal shower for her wedding. My cousin Sara surprised us and flew in from New York to be at the shower along with her other bridesmaids. The shower in my opinion had a successful turn out! Lots of catching up and much needed girl time.

Abbi (bridesmaid), Brittany (the bride), myself (brides matron), and Sara (maid of honor).

Brittany's wedding shoes. All the bridesmaids are also going to be wearing these shoes!

Petit fours from the famous Rhodes bakery.

The hand made invitation that I made for the shower.

Some more of the decor!

Mom and I getting ready for the guest to arrive.

Cousins!
Sara made an observation that my Aunt and I are always running around with our arms like a T-REX so we decided to do the pose just for her.

Take your toddler to work day!!

Today Mr. Carter decided to come to work and keep his mama company for a few hours. We did lots of neat things and got to explore some new equipment in my office.

We started out by getting a quick weight on this little guy...

Maybe not so little after all..!

Carter learning how to use the mama's stethoscope.

Listening to mama's heart. Definitely a future Dr. right here.

Next Carter learned that the ophthalmoscope is used to check patients eyes.

Carter knows the otoscope real well. I was able to look in Carter's ears and see that his green ear tubes are still perfectly intact.

Here we have a machine that would probably terrify most children..the pulmonary function test machine.

However, this little guy seemed ready to go.

Too bad Carter was too young to actually do the test. After receiving his flu shot, I know his lungs are functioning properly with the fit he pitched.

Ah yes, and the reward he received was well worth the day at work with mama.

Halloween Preview

Tonight I wanted the kids to try on their costumes to see if they fit and to have a little fun in the process!

Here we have an adorable Thomas the Train.

Adjusting his hat to fit just right!

A precious pea in the pod!

Layla a little steamy in her pea in the pod costume.

So precious! I am going to miss these days when they get older.

Carter and Layla scheming in their costumes.

Daddy and his precious pea in the pod.

Happy mama with her two tired of pictures children..haha.

I really don't think Layla was feeling the costume at this point.
