Special Juice

This time of the year always seems to be the toughest on Carter. I don't know if it is allergies, the heat, daycare, who knows? However, it seems that he is staying congested. He gets over a sinus infection and an antibiotic just to develop a cough. Unfortunately when Carter was going through his ear problems, he took several medicines that have terrified him to ever trust any kind of medication again. So Al and I came up with "special juice". Now this "special juice" isn't like any other..it contains the right potion to make Carter feel better. AKA: We just squirt the cough syrup or antibiotic in his juice or milk and shake it up (works every time). And yes, for you skeptics..it works! This cough syrup makes Carter a little loopy and tired but still does not keep him out of mischief.
Playing with Layla's sheep when he knows he is not suppose to. I couldn't help but laugh.
One word: TROUBLE
He baffles me....


Layla just witnesses all the mischief take place. Carter has to realize that she will one day be able to say more then just baby babble.

Date Night

It seems like it had been ages since Al and I went out just the two of us. So we got the munchkins a sitter and went out to dinner. It was so nice getting to eat in peace. It's the things you once took for granted that you appreciate the most once you have kids..but to all my readers I am preaching to the choir.

Baby Blues

Tonight, I am afraid I had the baby blues..both wound up and full of energy.

Visit from Paw Paw

Saturday, my dad came and held down the fort because I was bed ridden with what they think is reoccurring Strep Throat and I did not want the kids catching it. Besides, I had no energy to chase them around. Paw Paw got put right to work while Uncle Chase photographed the scene.

Pretty Girl

Friday night, my mom took Carter with her to run errands so I could only paparazi one of my children..so poor Layla was the victim.

Big girl bed!

Layla slept in her crib for the first time this week. I was kinda sad that our roommate moved across the hall but she is sleeping very well at night. Layla sleeps from 8 PM to 7 AM. We are trying to get her on the Carter schedule of 7 PM to 8 AM but like everything it is a working progress.

Al and I are so blessed to have had such good little sleepers.

Zzzzzzzzz

Tonight was an awfully tiring night for a Tuesday. I would normally expect this on a Monday but a Tuesday is highly unusual. I did really good tonight! I got both children fed, bathed, and in bed by 7:30. Pretty relaxing night if you ask me.
